Free Piano Lessons for Beginners:
The following piano lesson videos are meant to introduce you to piano playing. The only thing you need is a keyboard or a piano. In these first four beginner piano lessons you will learn to play by ear, so no note reading or sheet music is needed yet! You can simply focus on making a beautiful sound and the good feeling of just making music! Before you begin: - First of all make sure you sit at the piano with the correct posture.

- Next, prepare your hands for playing.
Learn how to keep a comfortable hand posture when playing the piano.
In the first lesson you will learn how to find your way on the piano keyboard. You will learn about the pattern of the black and white keys, finger numbers, the names of the keys and where “up” and “down” is on the piano keyboard. You will also learn to create music by playing and improvising on a pentatonic scale using the black keys.
Lesson 2:
Lesson two will teach you how to quickly and easily find the proper hand position on the keyboard. You will continue to practice the note names on the white keys, learn two five-finger positions in D-minor and C-major and how to play chords. You will discover that melodies can move in steps, repeats and skips or leaps. You will also start practicing easy finger strengthening exercises. Finally you will practice your finger numbers by learning to play the famous theme "Ode to Joy" from L. van Beethoven's 9th Symphony, with both hands.
Lesson 3:
In lesson three you will learn more about 5 finger positions and how to play music chords. You will continue to strengthen your fingers with easy piano exercises. We will look at intervals and how to use different intervals to accompany a melody as well as to use as a foundation for improvisation.
Lesson 4:
The fourth lesson will use what you have learned in the previous beginner piano lessons (Lesson 1, Lesson 2, Lesson 3) in a couple of folk songs. You will also learn a very easy way to improvise, or make up your own music!
